Profit per Bird
While total batch profit is important, calculating profit per bird allows you to compare performance across different batch sizes and seasons.
Profit per Bird = (Total Sales Revenue - Total Costs) / Total Birds Placed
Benchmark Ranges
- Excellent: > ₹25 per bird
- Good: ₹12 - ₹18 per bird
- Industry Average: ₹5 - ₹8 per bird
- Poor: < ₹0 (Loss)
Consistent profit of ₹10+ per bird indicates superior management. Use this metric to decide if you should expand your capacity or focus on improving efficiency first.
