Livability is the inverse of mortality. It represents the percentage of birds that successfully reach harvest.

Livability % = (Total Birds Harvested / Total Birds Placed) x 100

High livability depends on strict biosecurity, proper ventilation, and timely vaccination. Environment Controlled (EC) sheds typically offer 2-3% better livability during peak summer months.
