DOC refers to the chicks delivered to the farm within 24 hours of hatching. The quality of DOCs determines the uniformity and health potential of your entire batch.

Quality Indicators

• Weight: Should be between 38g and 42g.
• Activity: Chicks should be alert and responsive to sound.
• Navel: Must be clean, dry, and well-healed.
• Uniformity: At least 80% of chicks should be within 10% of the average weight.

On arrival, ensure immediate access to water with electrolytes and glucose to overcome transit stress.
